ASD Team Dentist and ASD Sports Dentist Course As the fields of sports medicine and sports dentistry evolve, so too does the role and responsibilities of the ASD Team Dentist and ASD Sports Dentist dental professional. The clinician requires sport specific knowledge and special training in order to work to his or her capacity in amateur, elite, or professional sporting events. In the Academy we feel that this course will help the practitioners carry out their responsibilities in an appropriate manner. This course is primarily designed to meet the educational needs of clinical dentists from all fields of dentistry who care for sports teams and participate in sports dentistry as part of their practice. With the completion of the ASD Team Dentist Course and ASD Sports Dentist course the clinician will have been presented with the information needed to perform his or her duties as a team dentist or sports dentist.

2. **Dr. Charles Schlesinger**: Dr. Schlesinger’s presentation will cover the detailed analysis of a novel alloplastic material for grafting, emphasizing the critical importance of selecting the correct material for regenerative surgery cases.
3. **Dr. Liran Levin**: Dr. Levin will address the pressing issue of domestic abuse, particularly its high association with oral and maxillofacial trauma. He will equip dental and healthcare professionals with the skills to identify, respond to, report, refer, and support victims.
4. **Barbara Schreiner**: Barbara will share valuable concepts and tips on negotiating contracts with sports franchises as their team dentist.

**Full Arch Digital Workflow Hands-on Course**: A step-by-step guide on restoring trauma patients using digital dentistry, instructed by JB Dental Lab, from the initial process to final restoration.
The responsibilities of an “ASD Team Dentist” dental professional may include:

- Organizing and delivering dental care for athletes and specific teams.
- Pre-participation dental exam and medical history.
- Treatment of dental conditions and injuries with return to activity recommendation.
- Identification and proper referral for psychological and/or substance use or abuse concerns.
- Recognition of signs and proper referral for concussion injury evaluation.
- Participating in the development of a mouthguard program.
- Providing coverage for games and other sports competitions.
