Selected Bibliography on Sports Dentistry

The scientific literature changes constantly and therefore no bibliography can be considered definitive for any length of time. This list is meant to contain, as of January 2026 somewhat general and useful overview of articles but it is not a totally comprehensive list of pertinent and important written pieces on sports dentistry. Evidence based dentistry is becoming more and more challenging to keep up with so this list be updated regularly.

We encourage all to stay current with the development of sports dentistry literature. We especially recommend Dental Traumatology and The British Journal of Sports Medicine to follow. If anyone has recommendations to add to this list please contact the Academy for Sports Dentistry for any articles to be considered.
